Testimonials

“I began working with Lily late in 2018, and immediately appreciated her ability to observe a client's movement, and to provide gentle, positive reinforcement to guide them toward better connection to their body. Lily and I share a strong belief in the healing potential of a stable and strong core and mobile joints. Aside from the patients in our care who need rehabilitative exercise, I recommend a session with Lily to anyone who wants to have an experience of solid connection to movement and strength.”

“I have regularly pursued physical therapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture for years to deal with chronic pain due to moderate scoliosis, but these therapies have only temporarily relieved my discomfort. It wasn’t until I started chiropractic care with Dr. Russ, in conjunction with one-on-one Pilates sessions with Lily, that I started to see lasting changes in my body. I have gained strength, flexibility, and mobility that I never had, even when I was physically fit. Most importantly, I am pain-free for the first time in many years. I am so grateful for the support and training I have received from Lily. She is able to adapt exercises for my particular needs and given me home exercises so that I can continue my practice throughout the week. Pilates has become a lifelong commitment for me so that I can feel my best and keep moving for the long haul! Thank you, Lily!”

Lily is a skilled practitioner who has great mastery of anatomy, functional movement, and multiple movement modalities. She knows so many ways to work on whatever you need, it's mind-boggling and never boring! Lily meets you where you are and caters each session to both meet your movement or health goals while educating you about your body and ways to reach better health. My sports background built very specific movements patterns that served me well until they didn't and I began to experience increasing pain and less flexibility. Lily is skilled at explaining verbally, demonstrating and uses other strategies as she invites you to re-train your brain-body connection to change those patterns. What I especially love about Lily is that she is able to personalize each session so it is specific to me and the needs of my body that day. We continue to move forward towards my long-term goals while working with how my body is able to respond in any given day.

As a colleague, Lily is a pleasure to collaborate with. She offered to substitute for classes when a teacher was absent, & diligently lined up subs for her own classes anytime she was absent from the studio. She continued to fine-tune her knowledge in functional anatomy, & improve her client relation skills. When the studio moved forward with plans for a second location in late 2019, Lily added managerial duties to her workload.

As a teacher, Lily has a calm, supportive demeanor in her private sessions & classes. Her exercise choice is balanced, with a focus on precise movement. Her strength in teaching fundamentals made her popular amongst students who came to the studio with significant mobility/functionality deficiencies, & new students who found the intricacies of the equipment intimidating. Lily creates an environment where students feel safe to gently push their bodies to more functional movement. Though her biggest strengths lie in functional movement, Lily can challenge expert movers as well, easily managing groups of students with varying levels of ability.
